Who is building this?
Hi, my name is Ole
and I've spent many years working as a freelance full-stack web developer for large and small customers across industries.Something I commonly build for my clients are HTTP API endpoints that provide some kind of aggregated or computed data based on input parameters. Often I think, "that would be useful for other businesses as well, maybe I could set up a payed API for that." But what holds me back every time is setting up the customer-facing infrastructure.Securing API access, managing user signups, offering a control panel for users where they can update their profile and payment information, generate & publish API keys, see their usage, receive invoices ... all of that is such a hassle, and it has nothing to do with the core business value that I intended to provide with the API.I wish there was a solution that would take all that away from me, but I couldn't find one.
